3x800m Races will also be run as timed finals. Medals will be awarded to the fastest team regardless of the heat it is achieved in.
To aid seeding Clubs should declare their teams by MIDNIGHT on Wednesday 11th September, electronic forms will be sent to Team Managers on Friday 6th September.
Estimated cumulative times will then be calculated using rankings.
Minimal Team Changes can still be made up to 60mins before the event start.

Declarations Guidance:

1)   Any athlete affiliated to a Scottish club, whether first or second claim may compete for that club in these Championships.

2)   Clubs must declare 4-6 athletes per sprint team, or 3-5 for 3x800 teams. This includes competing athletes and up to two reserves, under UKA Rule 170. Additional athletes cannot be added to teams after they are declared.

3)   Clubs may name one athlete per team in the age group above, except at U13 level where U11s are not permitted to compete.

4)   Athletes may be named in more than one team per event (eg. a B-team runner may be named as a reserve in the A team) but cannot represent more than one team in the same round of competition.

5)   Athletes intending to compete in the age group above (even as a reserve) may not also be named on any team sheet within their own age group.

6)   Team members declared must be current members of the scottishathletics membership scheme. Membership numbers must be included when declaring teams.

7)   All athletes must be eligible to compete under UKA Rules.

Team managers must complete a team declaration form on the morning of the event. This should include the athletes' scottishathletics membership number.

Please note, age restrictions apply to athletes competing at this event:
Seniors and U17s may compete in as many relay events as they wish (but cannot represent more than one team in a single round of an event if named in more than one team running the same distance); U15s cannot be named in teams in both the 4 x 300m and 3 x 800m, but could take part in either of these events alongside a 4 x 100m; U13s may be named in a team for one relay event only. All athletes, regardless of age, are encouraged to focus on one event only, where possible.

Clubs are reminded that they must ensure that ALL volunteers who are supervising teams have been suitably vetted, and where necessary are members of the PVG Scheme. Further information on vetting and PVG is available from the scottishathletics welfare team;
